Helena Choral Week – June 2018
Helena Choral Week is a week-long festival featuring classes, lessons, and concerts for musicians and music lovers in and around Helena, Montana. The festival culminates in a large choral concert with orchestra. Guest artists-educators include Evanne Browne, Barbara Hollinshead, Thomas Gregg, Robert Tudor, Art Bumgardner, Kyle Burke, Michael Harrison, Erick Crow, Jean Browne, June Lee, Anna Milburn, and Mark Walker. Some artist-educators live locally, but most travel from both coasts and the interior of the United States (including New York; Washington, DC; Florida; Maryland, Colorado, and Texas among others). American Landscapes recital featuring baritone Robert Tudor, tenor Erick Crow, and pianist Jean Browne.
Baritone Robert Tudor will present the cycle In New York and the songs “High and Low” and “Safe Secrets” by legendary Broadway performer and composer Laurence Guittard. Tenor Erick Crow will offer the cycle Of Laughter and Farewell by American composer Jake Heggie. The program will continue with moving songs for baritone and tenor from American music theater repertoire.
